Top 6 Requirements in our program
Working Technology
It is a must that you have access daily to Internet and a computer device.
Study Island Participation
All Students (no matter what time of the year you come into our program) Must attempt the following:
Math : 10 questions answered for all 24 topics in Math ELA: 10 questions answered for all 40 topics in ELA (Check out the Study Island Page to see why this plays such a vital role in our program. Pacing guides will be provided) Growth
We have a school wide bench mark test at the Beginning, Middle and End of Year to gauge student's academic growth. The data we receive from these tests drives our instruction to meet our students needs individually. If a student is not showing growth, we will require Class Connect Sessions and other interventions as needed.
These tests are all taken in your home. The only traveling you will be required to do for school testing is during ISTEP in the spring. See our ISTEP page for more information. |
Expected Progress
All Students must have 80% of the expected progress by the last day of our calendar year. Pacing guides are provided each week in the newsletter to help you stay on track.
Please Note: Expected Progress means your personal expected progress. This will be different for everyone as enrollment is on going throughout the year. Parent Teacher conferences
These are held 3 times a year in our ONLINE classrooms. These are not done face to face or just over the phone. In the online classroom we can show you where your student is visually and discuss your child's individualized learning plan.
Attendance and CommunicationCommunication - Every family comes here for their own unique reasons. Perhaps your student has a need to travel, is under going medical treatment, or has some other challenge that prevents them from going to a "Traditional" school. We want to know. Please share those important details of your life so we can help make this school fit for you.
Attendance - If a student misses 3 or more days of attendance the Learning Coach must reach out to the Homeroom teacher to avoid a truant hearing. |
